Thorncliffe’s Moonlight Movie was a great success!

Thorncliffe Park’s Moonlight Movie was a great success!

Madagascar (2005), everyone’s favourite animated film, was screened in R.V. Burgess Park on the evening of Mon. Aug. 29, 2016 as the final installment of Park People’s Moonlight Movies in Toronto’s public parks organized this summer. Park People tweeted, “Over 400 turned out for the best-attended screening of the summer .”

TNO’s Tower Neighbourhood Renewal (TNR) initiative partnered with Park People for this community engagement extravaganza, which featured pre-show activities organized by the Parks, Forestry & Recreation (PFR) department at the City of Toronto. We were also joined by the folks from the City of Toronto’s Ravine Strategy, the Tower & Neighbourhood Revitalization Unit (TNRU) at the City of Toronto, and the Toronto North Local Immigration Partnership (TNLIP)  who all hosted engagement pop-ups for the great work they do.

Thank you to everyone who supported the event!
