Youth Services

This is a registered program that is free for children in Middle School, living in the Thorncliffe Neighbourhood. It is provided once a week. It runs only during school year (September to June).

Our program progresses with the joint partnership of the local public school, parents and teachers and volunteers. High school students from Marc Garneau Collegiate, college and university students tutor one-on-one to support the children in math, English and French. Guests, including community members, are invited to bring music, science activities and fun in an educational way to our program. Support for the family is also offered through regular workshops provided for the parents of the Homework Club children. The Homework Club focuses strongly on helping children with their homework by providing reading materials in different languages, opportunity to play, relax and interact with peers.
